Cross Country--The Next GenerationPorter started running cross country at the middle school this year and he is loving it. (Must be the Haddock side of the genes) Today he ran a 6:05 mile (a new PR for him) and got 7th place! The first two pics are from today's race, the other two are from earlier races. One in particular was a mudbath.
On a side note, I just love all the clever sayings on the backs of the team shirts from the various schools. My favorite to date is: Our sport is your sport's punishment.On another side note, we were amazed and thrilled at the announcement of a temple to be built in the "greater KC area". Its hard to put into words the feeling that comes over you when the prophet announces new temples and one is in your home, a place that you have lived for 12 years and grown to love. Its really, really the best.

Wow Porter - what a quick mile. I didn't think your legs were long enough to move that fast. How do you do it?
My little heart is just bursting with pride for you, Porter.
Porter you are awesome! It must have been the awesome training run we did around the lake in Colorado Springs. If you guys come out for Thanksgiving, bring your running stuff.
